Carmine D'Aversa


Carmine brings to the program a great enthusiasm for teaching both adults and children. She has ridden and shown successfully in the Chicago area first as a junior and currently as a professional with numerous wins in both the hunters and jumpers. She emphasizes a strong foundation from the start with much attention to position. Carmine also includes theory and horse care as part of her teaching program.

Bonnie Alexander


Bonnie is the Farm Manager at Perfecta. Bonnie brings years of experience in horse care and stable management.  In addition, her duties include overseeing all aspects of keeping the farm running smoothly.

Mara Kranz-Olseng


Mara came up through the ranks of the Perfecta program.

She qualified for all the indoor finals in the equitation each year as a junior. Mara has won numerous year end awards in the Equitation, Hunter and Jumper divisions.  In addition, she achieved the highest award of winning a USEF Talent Search gold medal for twenty wins.  Mara currently trains and qualifies riders both new and experienced in hunters, jumpers, and equitation.

Kim Gardiner

​​Kim is the founder of Perfecta Farm. She brings a wealth of experience with over 35 years in the horse business. She has trained many horses to USEF year end ribbon winners, Zone Championships, and IHJA Champions and Reserves. She has also trained and qualified numerous riders for horse shows at the highest level, including the Washington International, Pennsylvania National, Devon, and the National Horse Show.   Her riders have gone on to win numerous classes at these competitions. Perfecta alums have also gone on to successfully start their own businesses, become professional riders, and have even represented our country in international competitions. Kim has also helped several riders achieve the goal of getting their USEF gold medal for twenty wins. Since its inception 51 years ago, less than 90 riders have received this prestigious award.   Kim also currently carries a Large "R" judging license in the Hunters, Hunt Seat Equitation, and the Jumpers. She also gives back to the Illinois horse community with her service as Recording Secretary for the Illinois Hunter and Jumper Association and as a board member of this organization for the past 15 years.
